Grump & Judy

From TVGuide magazine 3/16-22/09:

Here's some good medicine. Perennial scene-stealer Judy Greer brings a healthy dose of
quirkiness to Princeton-Plainsboro as Morgan, a patient convinced a kitty has predicted her death. To avoid this cat-tastrophe, she fakes a seizure and ends up under House's care. "She believes strongly in fate and astrology," explains Greer. "She's looking for something outside of herself, which is contradictory to House, who is historically scientific and by-the-book. "While their characters inevitably clash, Greer tells TVGuide her time with the show's star was purr-fection:"My mom worships Hugh Laurie-and now I do, too! He's really aware of the needs of other actors, and I love that." Greer's also gaga about the possibility of resuscitating another Kitty-Kitty Sanchezm her alter ego from Arrested Development, in the upcoming big-screen version of the bygone show. "I keep my fingers crossed-they said they want me involved, but no official offers have been made. Even if I got to work one day on it, I would be happy," she says. Sounds like just what the doctor ordered

Emmy 2006 Nominations

Having heard that Hugh didn't get nominated this year, I was in total shock. As the day wore on, I just resigned myself to the fact that this is another example of Hollywood injustice to brilliant acting.

After watching so many award shows (Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, Grammys, SAG, etc..) year after year, I've come to the conclusion that these award shows are not so much as rewarding brilliant acting but rewarding studios who spend money to promote their shows, movies, actors. Politics, politics, politics!!!!

I've seen actors win awards not based on their nominated performance but rather by their lifetime cumulative works of art which is an injustice to other actors nominated in the same category who performed at a much higher level.

I'm trying not to get all worked up about it because frankly whats done is done. No use crying over spilled milk but just have to move on.

At least the show was recognized for a Best Drama nod as it wasn't a total snub.

Just looking forward to the SAG and the Golden Globes which I hope Hugh will have better luck.
