As she browsed the racks at the November 5 Lucky Shops event in NYC, "he held all her bags." an attendee says.
House Preview: More Cuddy

From EW issued 12/4/09,
The Ausiello Files

For once, House isn't making it all about House (Hugh Laurie). In fact, the Fox drama's Feb 8 installment is focused entirely on Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). And I do mean entirely.

"Every other line (of dialogue) is mine". marvels the underrated actress, whose very own, very special episode chronicles a typical day in the life of Princeton-Plainsboro's long suffering taskmistress. "you see everything she has to deal with, and get a better understanding of where she's coming from."

And it's not ust Cuddy's internal layers that will be peeled off--her external ones will be on display too. Edelstein teases that the hour features "some sexual and partial nudity," both involving her character's current beau, LucAs (Michael Eeston). "This is Cuddy trying to have a normal life now that she has a child," she says of the pairing, which, predictably, has received a big thumbs-down from Huddy fans. House aNd Cuddy's "timing just really sucks," sighs Edelstein. "As soon as he was emotionally prepared to give [a relationship a shot], she kind of gave up. But I'm rooting for them."

If it's any consolation to fans, the two shared a nice moment off screen, anyway. The day Edelstein's big episode started shooting, "Hugh left me a bouquet of flowers and a congratulations note," she says. "It was really sweet." Well, bittersweet, at least.

From TVGuide magazine 3/16-22/09:

Here's some good medicine. Perennial scene-stealer Judy Greer brings a healthy dose of
quirkiness to Princeton-Plainsboro as Morgan, a patient convinced a kitty has predicted her death. To avoid this cat-tastrophe, she fakes a seizure and ends up under House's care. "She believes strongly in fate and astrology," explains Greer. "She's looking for something outside of herself, which is contradictory to House, who is historically scientific and by-the-book. "While their characters inevitably clash, Greer tells TVGuide her time with the show's star was purr-fection:"My mom worships Hugh Laurie-and now I do, too! He's really aware of the needs of other actors, and I love that." Greer's also gaga about the possibility of resuscitating another Kitty-Kitty Sanchezm her alter ego from Arrested Development, in the upcoming big-screen version of the bygone show. "I keep my fingers crossed-they said they want me involved, but no official offers have been made. Even if I got to work one day on it, I would be happy," she says. Sounds like just what the doctor ordered

Megan Walsh-Boyle

Prime Time Couples

Found in TVGuide (same page as below post on Cuddy's wardrobe):

Are there any happily married characters in prime time?

I watch crime procedural-CSI, NCIS, Without a Trace, Criminal Minds, Law & Order. One thing is the same: The chaacters are single, divorced, widowed or otherwise uncommitted. I can only assume that the writers have a block against marriage-William Dornburgh, Cooperstown, NY.

Indeed, there does seem to be a lack of rosy family situations out there. Naren Shankar, an exec producer for CSI, offers this insight into Gil Grissom: "He never wanted to have people close in his life, he found sort of a family with CSI and love with Sara" in a nutshell, the characters on your favorite series-and many of mine-have jobs that are too all-consuming to allow the warm-n-fuzzy time over the dinner table.
From TVGuide:

Does Dr. Cuddy have a closetful of clothes that are four sized too small?

One week on House it's a suit jacket so tight that it gapes between the buttons; the next it's a skirt that fits like a bunched-up sausage casing. Lisa Edelstein is a beautiful woman with a fabulous figure-but her character is a professional who would know how to put together a flattering yet appropriate outfit. Whowever chooses her wardrobe should be hung by their heels.---Dawn Taylor, Portland, OR

Ha! Usually I'm the one heading up the ICP (Inappropriate Cleavage Patrol). So the prognosis is tough for both of us: House costume designer Cathy Crandall-the woman you want to hang by the heels-confirms that Cuddy's revealing duds are here to stay. "We're embracing her sexiness," Crandall says. "We've decided to show off her assets in a way that any strong, intelligent, successful woman would: A little bit of cleavage, a little bit of tight skirts." Bad medicine? Perhaps Happier patients? Most definitely.

The following was taken from Star 9/29/08:

Good news for TV's grumpiest doctor! House MD star Hugh Laurie just got a whopping pay raise, making him one of the highest paid actors on the small screen with more than $9 million a year. But what's really giving the 49-year-old Brit reason to smile is that after four years of living thousands of miles from his family, his wife Jo and their three kids are planning a transatlantic move from London to be with their superstar dad. "Hugh was determined not to disrupt the children" says a friend. "Then a family conference changed everything. Jo and the kids just couldn't bear to see Hugh looking so miserable every time he leaves after visiting them in London." Pals say Jo, 52, and Hugh have shelled out $4 million for their dream home in the Hollywood Hills. They've also checked out schools for Bill, 17, and Rebecca, 15, while older son Charlie, 19, is heading to an Ivy League university. "They couldn't carry on dealing with a long-distance relationship," says the friend. "In the end, Jo took control and made the decision to move!"

He's very smart, caring--business minded but also a family guy. You can laugh or be super serious with him. He's constantly reading. He loves to play chess and is really good at it. And he's so cute with his wife and three kids. As soon as we're done with the day, he's changed and gone home.
Having heard that Hugh didn't get nominated this year, I was in total shock. As the day wore on, I just resigned myself to the fact that this is another example of Hollywood injustice to brilliant acting.

After watching so many award shows (Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, Grammys, SAG, etc..) year after year, I've come to the conclusion that these award shows are not so much as rewarding brilliant acting but rewarding studios who spend money to promote their shows, movies, actors. Politics, politics, politics!!!!

I've seen actors win awards not based on their nominated performance but rather by their lifetime cumulative works of art which is an injustice to other actors nominated in the same category who performed at a much higher level.

I'm trying not to get all worked up about it because frankly whats done is done. No use crying over spilled milk but just have to move on.

At least the show was recognized for a Best Drama nod as it wasn't a total snub.

Just looking forward to the SAG and the Golden Globes which I hope Hugh will have better luck.
